EL COCUY NATIONAL NATURAL PARK

 

 

Its landscape is very diverse formed by snow-capped mountains, lagoons, streams and the green of the mountains. It can be reached from Bogotá, Bucaramanga and the Llanos Orientales. This natural park is ideal for hiking and climbing as well as bird watching activities and landscape photography.

 

TAYRONA NATURAL NATIONAL PARK

 

 

Its majestic coast attracts thousands of tourists every day who wish to enjoy it and all the biodiversity that this Natural Park offers. Blue waters, white sand, forest, fauna and flora and its enchanting view of the largest snowed mountain range in the world by the seashore.

It can be reached from Santa Marta and from La Guajira by the Troncal del Caribe highway. Inside the park you can find some accommodations or camping. You can also find important archeological remains of the antique tayrona inhabitants.

 

LOS NEVADOS NATURAL NATIONAL PARK

 

 

This imposing park is located in a volcanic zone of level 3, for this reason it is very important to investigate a little before traveling to this destination. Its landscape is diverse because it has many thermal floors which allow the great variety of vegetation and animals that can be seen in the Los Nevados Natural Park.

It can be accessed from Caldas, Risaralda, Quindío and Tolima. The most outstanding activity is hiking that allows observation of the entire area.

 

CORALES DEL ROSARIO AND SAN BERNARDO NATURAL PARK

 

 

Located on the Caribbean coast, occupying an area of 120,000 hectares. Its main attraction is submerged in its blue waters, the marine life that can be found in this place is undoubtedly the largest and most varied of the country, fishes of many colors, reefs, turtles and many more you can see in this waters.

It has 2 ways to enter, from Cartagena through the Campo Elias Teran Dix bridge 20 minutes from the islands complex of the Archipelago of Nuestra Señora del Rosario and via Marina from Cartagena taking a boat from the dock La Bodeguita. You can dive and ecological hiking.

 

SIERRA NEVADA NATURAL NATIONAL PARK OF SANTA MARTA

 

 

Home of direct descendants of the Tayrona culture, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is the highest mountain with snow in the world on the seafront with 2 twin peaks, Christopher Columbus and Simón Bolívar (5.776 m).

Its main attraction is the Lost City, important vestiges of the Tayrona. You can only get from Santa Marta in vehicles 4X4 to a certain point, then it is 4 or 5 days walking depending on your pace through forest trails that change while climbing the mountain.

SIERRA DE LA MACARENA NATIONAL NATURAL PARK
