VILLA DE LEYVA TOUR

DAY  1. BOGOTÁ – VILLA DE LEYVA

Breakfast. Pick up at the hotel and departure from Bogotá to the colonial town of Villa de Leyva by private transport. Along the way, we make a stop to discover Zipaquirá and its famous Salt Cathedral, considered one of the wonders of Colombia. The afternoon is free to explore the streets and the famous main square of this typical Andean town, the Plaza Mayor.

DAY  2.  VILLA DE LEYVA SURROUNDINGS

Choose between 4 options:

• Walk along rural farms in the Guatoque canyon: visit of Piedra Movida and Mogolla, El Paso del Angel, Guatoque waterfall (80 meters) (5h).
• Horseback riding in the surroundings: visit of Pozo Azul (possibility of bathing), the Fossil and the Archaeological Park of Monquirá, astronomical site of the Muiscas Indians (4h).
• Museums and Ráquira: visit of the main museums of the city by car or horse in the morning: The fossil, the Archaeological Park, the convent Santo Ecce Homo. In the afternoon, excursion to the town of Raquira (8h).
• The fauna and flora sanctuary of Iguaque and the lagoon: walk through the park (8h).

End of the day at Villa de Leyva. (8h).

DAY 3. VILLA DE LEYVA – BOGOTA

Return to Bogotá by private transport. Stop along the way to discover the town of Ráquira considered the Artisan Capital of Colombia for their work in Clay, Cloth Bags, Baskets, Clothing, Hammocks and Ceramics.
