If you are an adrenaline junkie, navigating the whitewater rapids of the Suarez River is a must-do adventure. It is widely considered one of the best rafting experiences in Colombia.
Unlike calmer rivers, the Suarez offers the chance to tackle up to Class V rapids (the highest level permitted for commercial rafting). This descent will push your energy to the limit and takes up most of the day. Departure is typically at 10:00 AM from San Gil, 1-hour drive to the river, followed by a safety briefing and practice session. 2 hours on the water. 1-hour return trip to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.

After breakfast, we depart for an eco-hike (approx. 20 minutes) to reach the descent point. A specialized guide will provide personal gear and a safety briefing. You will rappel down the rock face through the rushing water, ending in a natural pool formed by the waterfall’s pressure. Return to the hotel for rest and relaxation.
