A lot of culture and traditions are the experiences that we will take from these magical places of Colombia. The desert of the Tatacoa is impressive the arid landscape of the area and its rocky forms. San Agustín is the most important archeological zone of Colombia and Popayán you will love its religious culture and traditions.
DAY 1 -NEIVA
Arrival at Neiva Airport – Welcome from our representative – Transfer to the hotel in Villavieja.
At 2:30 p. m., we start our journey towards the Tatacoa desert in Cuzco is the part with the greatest reddish coloration and geomorphology of the area.
We will walk around where we will visit the cathedrals, the tower and the tree of desires. Finishing this way, we pass to Los Hoyos and the Xipalos Valley and we finish our visit forming an altar in the Valley of dreams, which symbolizes the covenant of master and protection with nature and the world that surrounds us.
At nightfall, we’ll have a talk at the Astronomical Observatory. Return to the hotel.
Día 2 – LLEGADA A SAN AGUSTÍN
Early in the morning we will travel to San Agustín, 5 hours on the way where you can stop to take pictures and enjoy the scenery.
After check in at the hotel, we enter the Museum and Archaeological Park and walk along its trails to observe the sacred vestiges of our tribes. These are scattered throughout the forest. We have Table A, B, C, the Lavapatas High and the Forest of statues. The San Agustin Archaeological Park is a World Heritage Site.
DAY 3 –NATURE AND ARCHAEOLOGY
We will begin this day with a tour of the entire south, where we have very natural and archaeological sites such as the Bordones Falls, the Archaeological Park, The Cascada de los Ídolos and Las Piedras, ending in the Strait of the Magdalena River.
We will have a delicious lunch in a very rural and traditional place where we will take a break to return to the hotel in the afternoon.
DAY 4 – POPAYÁN
Very early in the morning we set off on our way to Popayán, a 4 hour drive. After a well-deserved rest and lunch, we will make the City Tour throughout the historical center of the city, we will know the most important museums as well as all the history and religious demonstrations of the area.
We finished the tour by the bridge of the Humilladero and a rich gastronomic tasting.
DAY 5 – FAREWELL OF POPAYAN
We pick you up at the hotel at 8:00 in the morning to take you to Popayán Airport to catch the plane to your next destination.
